A restless night sleep and photos on the TV this morning give me more and more resolve to do something to help those affected by the earthquakes in Haiti.
The question is not: “Should we help”? The question is: “How should we help” ?
No doubt, the young and old have responded to the heavy challenge of Haiti. More help is still pouring in.
If there exist any distractions, let them be catalysts that boost the Spirit of care. Accusations and lots more may be at the peak. Let love dominate.

I totally agree with everyone who say giving to the Haitians will help bring some form of relief. Make use of any vehicle to get help to them. And above all, we need to keep them in our prayers. It could've easily been anyone of us.

Prayer and much more - 2010-01-18
I must say, Smitty, this is quite encouraging. My church has not heard anything from our missionaries how are serving in Haiti as of today (1/17/10). Me being of a younger age, I'm not yet able to do much with money and that sort with Haiti, but I must say that prayer is a must. God has an amazing way with answering prayers. And as Matthew 18:19-20 says, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." This is such a great time to remember these verses. Because we are all concentrated on this one subject of Haiti and the people involved, God will surely be with us and will protect everyone is Haiti.

In 1998, we began sponsoring a child in Haiti through Compassion and had the privilege, thanks to God, to meet my dear boy. We are scheduled to return in Feb. for mission work and visit our boy.
