It is so hard for us to explain what a Michael W. Smith & Friends cruise experience is like because, well... we are busy making sure that everything goes GREAT for our guests - so we asked some past cruisers for their perspective on an MWS Cruise... 

We asked some questions:  What made them book?  How did they find out about the cruise?  How did we do?  Below is one of the responses we got back from a Passenger/Friend in California.

• In October of 2009, my husband, daughter and I attended a Michael W. Smith concert for the first time. We wanted to go many times before, but never made it. Between work, church, and family activities, it seemed like we were always running short on time.. Sometimes when I think about it, I wonder if we're related to Martha- you know, the story of Martha and Mary from the Bible... But this time when I heard about Michael's concert, I made a spur of the moment decision to buy tickets. And… I seriously don't think I realized what was coming my way!!! The concert was above and beyond what I imagined it would be… and that night my world began to turn upside down!! I went home and looked up Smitty's website, and found out about the 2010 cruise to Alaska.
  
  Aaahhh- are you serious?? A cruise with Michael W. Smith??? Of course I wanted to go!!! .... But wait!!! We had just gone on a cruise with church friends two years prior!!... And I am not crazy for cruises!!...  And how in the world were we going to afford this when we had so many other things that we needed to take care of??... Just a few of the gazillion questions that restlessly bounced around in my mind!!!… But my soul was SO thirsty.. and deep in my heart I knew that we were going to go. We needed to go. I couldn't be more sure of this!!! The next day, I told my husband about the cruise, and to my surprise (and delight!), he agreed to it.
  
  Slowly (VERY slowly), July 2010 finally came, and I could NOT WAIT to get on board and go to the first concert. And the one after that. And the next. Aaand the next!! It's true, Smitty and Friends were in concert every single night!! Devotions every morning, concerts and listening parties in the evening, Smingo (charity fundraisers), sharing of the Word!!… Aaahhh.. the nostalgia begins!... And then, there was Smittyoke! What is this, you ask? The best way to describe it would be: karaoke, with a Smitty twist to it. What does this mean?! It means that you choose a song and sing it with Michael and the band up on stage!!! It is by far an incredible experience!!!
  
  As I am writing this, I couldn't possibly forget about Smitty's team!! We were literally blown away at how attentive and down to earth they are. Always there to help and answer questions, but what impressed me even more, was that amidst their crazy busy schedule, they took time to talk and to know us! The way I envisioned it, was that the only time we would see Michael & his family, the band, his team, and the other artists and speakers, would be in the concert hall. Boy, am I glad I was wrong!!
  
  Add to this the beautiful friendships that were born… friends whom we have grown to love and look forward to seeing every time there is a Smitty concert and event! And the fun time our 12 year old daughter had in making new friends, while they enjoyed youth cruise activities and just hanging out!
  
  We went on this cruise not knowing anyone else who was going, but when it was over, our souls were fed, and our hearts were full with joy unthinkable as a result of the special bonds that were created. It was an experience we will never forget.. and.. YES! We are booked for the next cruise, and can't wait to get on board!!! Hope you'll join us!!!
